Resolução comentada

Verbos corretos: was / is / has / was / is.

'Was born' é o passado da voz passiva para uma pessoa (he). 'Today, he is a writer' e 'has a PhD' estão no presente. 'In 2018, he also was a finalist' pede passado, e 'at the moment' pede presente (is).

Referência: Simple Present e Simple Past do verbo to be e to have.
